Get breaking news, weather alerts, school closings and more - anytime, anywhere via text message.
Step 1: Provide us with your name and mobile contact information, then select the information you want to receive.
Step 2: A 5-digit Authorization Code will be sent to your cell phone, PDA or pager as a text message. Enter the 5-digit Authorization Code online to complete the sign-up process. If you sign-up for email only, the code will be sent to your email address.
You can receive:
1. News - be alerted when news breaks in NY and around the nation. Get AMBER Alerts when issued.2. Weather - be alerted when severe weather is in our area. Get a daily forecast each morning.3. School Closings - get a message when your school is closed.
