Sign-up is fast and easy! In Step 1 below, enter your mobile contact information and select the information categories you want to receive.

In Step 2, an authorization code will be sent to you as a text message. Enter this code online to complete the sign-up process. (If you are signing up for email only, the code will be sent to your email address.)

MI Txt has the following message categories to choose from:

  • Weather Information - Choose to get severe weather information by county as well as the daily forecast.
  • Community Calender - Be reminded of fun, local events.
  • Local Sports Scores - Get sports scores and info on your favorite local teams.  
  • Special Offers - Save money with mobile coupons from local businesses.
  • City Government Information - Get instant updates and information from the City of Owensboro and its neighborhood alliances.

In the next step of the sign up process, we will send a personal authorization code to your mobile phone or email address. You will need to enter the code in the next screen within (5) minutes in order to verify and complete your enrollment in the system.
