Weather: Life on the Cape is always affected by the weather, but some conditions are downright dangerous. Know instantly when wind, fog, or any unsafe weather conditions are pending. Protect your family, your property, and your peace of mind with the Herald. We’ve signed up with the National Weather Service to offer automated, up-to-the-minute weather forecasts in all the areas you might have to travel.

Traffic: An accident on the Parkway. Construction on a County road. An unexpected bridge closing on a State road. No one is faster in Cape May County than the Herald. We’ll let you know what routes to avoid before you spend hours in bumper to bumper traffic.

Except Amber and Severe Weather Alerts, no messages will be sent between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

Please note: All messages sent by the Herald adhere to a time limitation. No messages are sent from 11 p.m. until 7:30 a.m. However, please know that our weather alerts are automated through the National Weather Service and go out at any time, day or night.

Step 1: Sign-Up - Test Your Phone

In Step 2 of the sign up process, a personal authorization code will be sent to your mobile phone or email address. You will need to enter the 5-digit code in the next screen within (5) minutes in order to verify and complete your enrollment in the system. Do not navigate away from that screen until your enrollment is complete.
