ValpoAlert
ValpoAlert is a new program from the Valparaiso Police Department designed to keep citizens up-to-date on a host of issues relating to their safety and well-being. ValpoAlert sends alert information immediately to people's mobile phones as text messages. Any citizen may opt-in free of charge and select the information they wish to receive as text messages sent to their mobile phones.
Signing up for ValpoAlert is Easy!
Step 1: You will test your mobile phone to ensure it is text-enabled. In the spaces below, simply provide us with your name, zip code and mobile contact information. If you want to also receive email notifications, please provide us with your email address. Then, select the message category information that you wish to receive.
Step 2: An Authorization Code will be sent as a text message to your mobile phone. If you receive the Authorization Code, your mobile phone is text-enabled. Simply enter the Authorization Code during Step 2 to authenticate yourself.

Please complete the information below. Enter your mobile phone number and select your wireless carrier. You can also receive email messages, to do so, simply enter your email address. Please provide either a mobile phone number or an email address, or both.
In the next step of the sign up process, we will send a personal authorization code to your mobile phone or email address. You will need to enter the code in the next screen within (5) minutes in order to verify and complete your enrollment in the system. Important: Our systems are tested for performance and reliability on a frequent basis. However, normal network transmission limitations can occur from time-to-time and may cause delays in the receipt of messages.
